Does the Payroll Health Check fix the problems it finds?

Yes, up to a point. The price includes 30 minutes of payroll data fixing per review — pay items fixed, leave balances put right, PAYE reconciled — with a written note of what changed. Training and any data fixing beyond the 30 minutes are billed separately at $125 and $85 + GST an hour.

Bank and credit card reconciliations, do the balances actually agree with the statements
Suspense and unreconciled items and how long they have sat there
GST coding on income and expenses, including the usual traps: entertainment, IRD interest and penalties, assets
Aged receivables and payables, who owes you, who you owe and what is stale
PAYE and GST payable balances matched to IRD, fixed assets and the chart of accounts

Payroll mistakes are the expensive kind: they compound every pay run, they upset staff and IRD finds them eventually. This is a one-off check of the last 12 months of your payroll, how it is set up and how it has actually run.

Pay items, allowances and deductions, set up right and taxed right
Annual leave, sick leave and public holidays, including the usual trade traps of irregular hours and shutdowns
PAYE, KiwiSaver and student loan deductions matched to what was filed and paid
Payday filing on time and the PAYE payable in Xero reconciled to IRD

Do I have to be in Christchurch to use Admin for Tradies?

No. Christchurch, Selwyn and Canterbury are home, but every product runs in Xero and on a shared screen, so small trade businesses anywhere in New Zealand work with Monique the same way.

Where does my data go?

Your Xero stays your Xero. The checking tools run on Monique’s own computer, using Claude (by Anthropic), a secure paid AI programme that does not keep or train on your data. Monique grants access to the folders each time she works. Your files sit on a secure OneDrive, the same as normal bookkeeping practice.

Do the health checks fix the problems they find?

No, not automatically. Each check gives you a written report of findings, with a quote to fix any data errors and set up automation or efficiency improvements where relevant — you decide before anything further is done. Data fixing is billed at $85 + GST an hour and training at $125 + GST an hour, both quoted separately.
