Improve Continuously
It might not sound like the idea of continuous improvement means much. This is wrong. It means a lot. It is the path to success in small business. It is compounding interest in the area of your capability.
Do not expect perfection. We all fail at that and it stops business. It halts creativity and halts new.
We will get in a muddle when we start a new project and when we grow. In a big company they might not as they have lots of people to look at data and plan everything. I am not writing for a big business. I am writing for the Mums and Dads and young people I meet. They have a goal to start a small business or grow a small business. They can work their way out of muddle with continuous improvement in their business knowledge, trade skills, leadership abilities, understanding of what matters and what does not (simplicity in business).
So cheers to small change over time.
Cheers to being able to fail and to try and always (where possible) fail fast and fail cheap. Then to picking ourselves up from the failure, taking the lesson and applying it to do better next time. This is success!
Cheers to you leading continuous improvement in yourself and in your staff and families.
